A Rare Break in the Rain

Today’s story きょうの あらすじ

Yesterday, I went for a walk at night. Lately it has been raining every day, and there have been many days in a row when I couldn't go for my morning walk. When I happened to look out the window, the rain had stopped, so I thought, "This is my chance," and went to the park. As I walked in my usual park, all the familiar faces I always see in the morning were running or walking. Everyone thinks the same way, don't they? The weather forecast said the rain would continue for a while, so I think they decided to exercise while the rain had stopped. This year in Japan, one typhoon after another has brought rainy day after rainy day. I hope we get clear, dry autumn skies soon.
