I went to a machine Pilates lesson for the first time in three weeks. I usually take a lesson once every two weeks, but this time, partly because of a long business trip, a whole three weeks went by. I had been feeling myself that my body's balance was off lately, and when I went to the lesson today, that was exactly the case. I was given training to open up my chest and adjust the position of my pelvis, and I could clearly see that my body's balance was completely different before and after the lesson. To think my body could change this much in just a one-hour lesson; it really is a packed hour. On my way home from the lesson, I did some shopping, and that alone took an hour. I realized again that even for the same one hour, an hour invested in my own body and an hour spent wandering around looking for something good have completely different meanings.
