Today’s story きょうの あらすじ

Something happened recently that startled even me. Today I remembered I had to buy a tube of wasabi and picked one up at the supermarket. Back home, about to put it in the fridge, I found exactly the same unopened tube already sitting there — and then remembered I had bought that wasabi yesterday. I know my memory has been getting worse with age, but this is far too much. Forgetting that I bought something and put it away only yesterday is a shock. At fifty-five this seems a little severe, and it has left me unable to trust myself.
