Today’s story きょうの あらすじ

Yesterday I came back to Tokyo from Osaka. I had been busy and tired for a long stretch, so I went to bed a little earlier than usual, and when I woke in the morning it was half past seven. I always set the alarm on my Apple Watch for six, yet this morning it did not ring. Looking at the watch, I found the battery had run out — no wonder it had stayed silent. I had got into bed at half past nine the night before, which means I had slept a full ten hours. It has been a long while since I slept so long and so deeply; my body feels light and my head is clear. With the battery gone I could not track my sleep, but since my body was tired I am glad I was able to rest that well.
