Today’s story きょうの あらすじ

Whenever I come to Thailand, I stay at my friend's home. It is in a country town about a hundred kilometres from the airport in Bangkok, a place with truly nothing around. Since I normally live right in the middle of Tokyo, the few days I spend here are wonderfully quiet, calm and comfortable. This time of living alongside my friend and their family is a treasure of mine. I met my Thai friend more than fifteen years ago, and I am grateful that the bond between us has gone on this long.
