Bangkok Felt More Orderly Than Tokyo

Today’s story きょうの あらすじ

Bangkok is very large, so I usually get around in a client's car or by taxi. This time, though, I often had to move about during commuting hours, so I used the train. What surprised me there was that on the station platform everyone was lined up neatly, and there was an unspoken rule that when the train came, those getting off went first and those getting on went after. What is more, on the station escalators everyone stood in a single line on the right, just as in Tokyo. It made me think that perhaps Bangkok keeps the rules more properly than Japan does. Travel lets me discover sides of a place like this, and that is why I cannot give it up.
