After my ten-day business trip to Thailand, I got home at half past seven in the evening. What I heard on the way home was the voices of autumn insects. While I was away, the season had changed greatly, from summer to autumn. The next morning, although the weather forecast said it would go above thirty degrees, the sunlight and the air were soft, a feeling completely different from midsummer. The season had changed this much between the day I left and the day I came back. It made me feel again that Japan really is a country of four changing seasons. It may be a feeling I could never have had if I had not left Japan at this time of year.
