Today’s story きょうの あらすじ

We Japanese have a culture of taking baths. I love baths too, and I take one every day to relieve the tiredness in both my body and mind. Recently, I made a spot with books lined up for reading in the bath. Before getting in the bath, I pick a book I want to read from there and read it for 20 minutes while soaking. Until now, I used to leave my smartphone outside the bathroom to play music or listen to the news, but I wanted to create time to disconnect and do a digital detox. For me, this has become a really satisfying time. I get bored if I read the same book every day, so I line up a few books and choose one based on my mood, reading a bit at a time.
