I arrived for my vaccine only to be told there was no reservation — and the clinic gently insisted the mistake must be theirs. Back home I discovered the error was mine all along, and their graceful kindness moved me deeply.

この前、帯状疱疹のワクチンを打つために、予約をした時間に病院へ行った時の話です。受付で、予約が入っていませんと言われて、とても焦りました。普通なら「今日は無理です。予約の日に来てください」と言われると思います。でも、その病院の対応は違って、きっと私たちが間違えたんです、大丈夫ですよ、と優しく言ってくれました。

このまえ、たいじょうほうしんの わくちんを うつために、よやくを した じかんに びょういんへ いった ときの はなしです。うけつけで 「よやくが はいっていません」と いわれて、とても あせりました。 ふつうなら「きょうは むりです。 よやくの ひに きてください」と いわれると おもいます。
