After a week of rain, I had given up on this year's cherry blossoms — until a blue-sky morning walk revealed trees still full of buds. With their sweet fragrance in the air, the weekend promises one more round of sakura.

今週は、ずっと雨や曇りで、スッキリしない日が続いていました。夜桜散歩に行った翌日からは、強い風や雨がしとしとと降り続いていたので、もう今年のソメイヨシノは満開になる前に終わっちゃったなぁと残念に思っていたんです。ところが、今朝久しぶりの青空に誘われるように、朝のウォーキングに行ってみたら、場所によっては、まだつぼみが残っているソメイヨシノの木がたくさんありました。

こんしゅうはずっとあめやくもりで、すっきりしないひがつづいていました。よざくらさんぽにいったよくじつからは、つよいかぜやあめがしとしととふりつづいていたので、もうことしのそめいよしのは、まんかいになるまえにおわっちゃったなぁとざんねんにおもっていたんです。ところが、けさひさしぶりのあおぞらにさそわれるように、あさのうぉーきんぐにいってみたら、ばしょによっては、まだつぼみがのこっているそめいよしののきがたくさんありました。
