I woke up convinced it was Saturday and started planning the robot vacuum and fresh sheets — until Google Home read out my Thursday appointments and I came back to reality. They say the brain sorts and rewrites memories while you sleep, so mine must have had a big update last night; I wish I could sleep that deeply every day.

今朝、目が覚めたあと、私は今日は土曜日だからお掃除ロボットのセッティングをして、シーツの交換をして、と思いながら、いつものとおりgoogle homeに「おはよう」って声をかけたんです。そうしたら、病院の予約時間や打ち合わせの予定を伝えてきました。そこで、私は我に返り、今日は木曜日だった、と思い出したんです。
