Today’s story きょうの あらすじ
July 20 is Marine Day, so with Saturday and Sunday it makes a three-day weekend. I had not noticed Monday was a holiday at all — the office was oddly empty and I spent the morning wondering why, and only just before six on Friday evening did it hit me. A day off arriving out of nowhere felt like a reward. When I know well in advance I cram the days full of plans, but this time I have made none, so I will take it slowly.

7月20日は海の日です。祝日なので仕事がお休みになります。今年は土曜日、日曜日、そして月曜日の海の日の祝日と、三連休です。私は、月曜日がお休みだということに、全く気づいていませんでした。それに気づいたのは、金曜日の夕方6時前です。
