The rainy season has ended and every day is astonishingly hot. I could not wait for the rain to lift, and now that it has I can hardly bear it. Step outside and sweat runs down my back, so cool indoor air feels like happiness for a moment. Stay inside long enough, though, and the cold sinks into your core. The office is especially cold, like a refrigerator: from about two I feel it even in long sleeves, and stepping outside on an errand feels like thawing. I want to avoid summer fatigue and not fall ill.
