Today a client from Thailand came to Tokyo with her husband and child; Thailand is on a holiday break just now. Both of them lived in Japan for years and married after returning home, so they know Tokyo inside out. Our conversations are great fun — Japanese and English with a little Chinese mixed in. I am studying Chinese now, they have both studied it before, and all of us speak English. I cannot speak Thai, which is a shame, but three languages at once must look quite entertaining from the outside.
