Today’s story きょうの あらすじ

Every day I make onigiri or sandwiches and take them to the office for lunch. Lately there has been one filling so good that when I finished eating I caught myself saying out loud, ah, that was delicious. Usually I put in dried bonito flakes with pickled plum or pickles. That day I happened to have edamame at home, so I added the salted kelp I had heard about when I came down with heatstroke the other day. Salted kelp, they say, is good for replacing the minerals we tend to run short of in summer. It was astonishingly good, so next week I plan to take edamame and salted kelp onigiri again. Now I am off to buy the edamame.
