A Week of Meeting Many Different People

Today’s story きょうの あらすじ

This week, unlike my usual weeks, was one of meeting and talking with a great many people. I met all kinds of people, different in age, in occupation, in where they live, even in nationality. When I spend time only with the same members and only with people who share my values, my own world and my thinking grow lopsided. But meeting different people and having different conversations widens that world. I rarely meet this many people at once, so I ended up a little tired. That is how much brain I used in communicating, I suppose. Being with others calls for consideration as well, so it is only natural that a share of tiredness comes with it.
