It is the summer holiday, so I went home to my parents' house in Osaka. Right in front of Osaka Station there is a building called KITTE. On its second floor are many shops selling local specialties from all over Japan, and there are sixteen regions in all: Hokkaido, Niigata, Hyogo, Tottori and more. There is even a shop where you can enjoy the sake of Niigata, the true home of sake. Traveling from Tokyo to Osaka, I stopped at this KITTE in front of the station before going on to my parents' house, bought a few good-looking things at the Hokkaido shop, and then headed home. KITTE is right outside the west exit of Osaka Station, so do stop in when you go to Osaka.
